So I've got it stripped to the crank case, the barrels, pistons and heads are removed. My question whats the best sealant to seal the new barrels to the crankcase? Also i thinking of fitting upgraded push rod sleeves are they worth the money???
Used Hylomar for petrol pump and alternator stand when removed the dynamo in 2006, is this any good??
Thanks
Ben

Been speaking to friends and the guys at cool air, and its a good idea to keep going and split the case and check everything this is going to be a one off full strip and rebuild. (I Hope).

So Sparky I think your right, got a local machinist in mind and a 110 Engle cam, hopeing the crank will be fine however may change this depending on the findings of the machinist and aircooled enthusiast. More money please a lottery win would be nice round about now..... :)

If your going to split the case then you may aswell go 1776 as 1641 wont give you that much more beans, but 1776 will give you a mass advantage
