External oil cooler bay

Right im taking out my type 4 2 litre and fitting type 2 2007 cc engine so want an external oil cooler where the best place to mount this cooler any design tips for scoops etc welcome it going to have a wax thermostat fitted in line where do i mount this?

Nice one, i see you have a fan fitted too, the oil pipes are they going over the top of the rear axle?

I have a small 8 pass cooler on my bus, it has seen two places.

On my old 1775 near the gearbox, never seen more than 95°C oil temp.

With my new 2074 engine due to my late bay gearbox support installed on my bus, I relocated it on the torsion bars housing.

bewteen the chassis rail in front of the gearbox is popluar place for an oil cooler
