They look like the right ones to me, 10" 150lb springs seem the best bet.

Cheers bud, I'll give them a call tomorrow to make sure that theyre in stock as I need em pretty quick

I've had mine on order from rally design roughly 5 weeks now. They're hoping to have my set (hopefully they've ordered more than one!) in the next couple of weeks.

Thems the puppies I reckon, and you need 150lb springs to go with em. The numbers seem to tally up, but for some reason I don`t think they look quite like mine, I may be wrong (again) or it could be I slapped the springs on as soon as I got them. I had mine custom built but they took about two or three weeks from memory (poor)

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,Big improvement too

I just fitted a set of these, with 150lb springs, to my van. Nice job, no tyre rub, beam scrape or perpetual bounce on its maiden voyage fully loaded :D

I made some quick spacers for the upper mounts as the springs were fouling on the beam plates, mines a 4" narrowed, what has anyone else done about this? It seems to be ok, I guess Im just a bit concerned. I had spacers before with the Bugpack coilovers, but I needed a tad more clearance.

Hi Guys, What's the general feeling on going down the route of fitting coilovers, do you still need the anti roll bar fitted or can you remove it?.

Cheers

Mike

I went without the anti roll bar for a bit as I did naughty things to it  I got one back on as soon as I could because it does make a bit of difference. Not so much when you are just trundling around from memory but when you gets dips or bumps in a bend seemed to be the ones that felt better. I`d say yes and get it back on, but you are never a hundred per cent sure if you just `think` it feels betterer because you just spent time doing something :?
Thinking about it, I think I`ve run without one on another occasion and was glad to get it refitted

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,If I could remember what a memory was like  :p

If I was not as low and on a full width beam, Id run an arb, for sure.

But, none of the above apply!

I ordered mine yesterday from damper tech and I think they've tried to deliver today but I missed them. All rescheduled for tomorrow so I'll hopefully be rollin by the weekend :D

Im still interested in this thread as Im on my 2nd set of cheapy coilovers (the bushes go after about a year if you are lucky) and will replace mine with a better quality coilover. - Im running 3.5" flipped spindles and a weedeater 2 beam on a high setting. Dont get much rub but ride is pretty bouncy - even on motorways etc.

Ive just found these and wondered if anyone had used them before as an alternative to the GAz ones?? :?:

They list the Vw transporter 67-79 part No PB441.

There are no measurements as far as I can see but they are adjustable in both spring rate and damping. 60quid each??

Can't comment on the coilovers in your link but can offer some advice. There are 12 pages of positive feedback on these Gaz coilovers. You've already bought 2 shit sets, do you really want to risk buying another?

HI Aspro, Thanks for your advise on me buying 2 shit sets -

The first set was fitted by T2D and the second set was supplied under warranty due to failed bushes - long before this thread happened.

All I was doing was showing people on the forum all the options as it seems some people are struggling to get hold of the GAZ ones and its always good to spread the word!

The AVO ones are actually listed to fit our vehicles off their website..They get some good feedback on other marques.I will call them and find out what the length of the units are and whether they are availible.

See rallydesign for Gaz shocks, that's where I got mine. Although to replace the shit Spax ones on the red9 kit that was fitted to my bus.

I'm not sure about struggling to get the gaz ones, I ordered on Monday and they've tried to deliver today .... Great stuff.

I've been through the thread a number of times but can anyone give me a good starting point for the collar etc for a 10" spring?

I'm thinking 10 clicks in the tensioner and about 7cm from the thread base?

What are others running with this spring ?

Let us know how you get on :)

I think Im on 8 clicks from minimum, not sure exactly on the spring height.

Been running mine for a few months now. All good :D

I am tempted to try a bit more spring poundage than 150... I want to go a bit lower and currently do get the odd bit of tyre rubbage/beam hits. It's not too firm/harsh as it is so figure I could go a bit firmer/lower.

Just need to get the rear end sorted to the same degree!
