Thanks for all the replies before I go to each of them can I firstly apologies to Midlands and Stewart. We had a conversation and it was apparent that he was concerned I was not happy with them (it was a Saturday evening so not even business hours) because I had no updated this thread.

It was purely due to work and personal issues and not wanting to spend more time online (plus I think my wife would have killed if I spent more time on my laptop)

If anyone is looking to get their bus restored and wants the best, I think you know where to look. I have no idea on costs for the work from anywhere else as actual cost was not part of my decision on who to go with. But in my mind if you want a perfectly finished bus, constant pictorial updates, personal advice (and not to the determent of cost), personal concern through the restore that you are happy with the work, pride in their work, personal pride you need look no further than the gents at midlands.

I do not have the vocabulary to express how happy and excited I am to get my bus back from them.

Oh and I have seen the final bill, it seems they want to offer value for money as well.

Do it once, do it midlands, you may save money elsewhere but in the long run, well after a years you will see why the other may be cheaper.

Wow, that's a lot of work there! Did you know your bus had so many dents and dings?

Looks like another quality job by that company :D

Hello Mike, Yes I went out and bought the most dented poorly repaired but I could find. Looks like I hit jackpot :) lol no not really thought it was war torn but solid. Did think it could have been in a bad smash and repaired 30 years ago when I bought it. But Poppy is part of the family now so had to get her repaired. At any cost I seems.

Bit of an update on poppy, she is getting there :)

Stuart and Drew have had their hands full trying to get her as smooth and straight as they want (they have very high standards!!!!)

Stuart text me to say that the roof is one of the worst they have ever worked on :-(

The rear engine lid was pretty bashed up and the plan was to get another and use that. MPW source a straight engine lid but it would fit, so instead they set to work on making the original like new.
