I've used the Berg dipstick sender before, with great results. Get it from John Maher at http://www.johnmaherracing.co.uk/jmrshop/index.htm (under oil)

Berg oil temp dipstick
The cheapest way to monitor your oil temperature. Just fit this in place of your original dipstick, run the supplied wire across to the oil pressure switch and that's the installation completed! No need to run wires into the interior of the car. When the oil temp reaches approx 115 degrees C, your standard oil pressure warning light will flash on to alert you. Comes with wire and connectors.
