Replace the bottom half of the body and the front panel, add some fuchs or raders, and a big engine.
Just usual stuff really.

Oh, haven't told wife yet. She's home from work at 4.

Not proper ragtop, sheet of clear perspex previous owner fitted.
Can't decide whether to fit ragtop or new roof section to make tintop.

A couple of minutes silence, then "I should have known you'll get another one, it's been 4 years"

Result.
There again, she's had to put up with these on the drive over the last 10 years.

not quite, I had a 1970 bus in sand up to the gutter line with a white roof.
She wants it like that, and she also wants fuchs or raders fitted!

Started stripping new van to see what needs doing.
Found some evil repairs and welding, and lots of tin foil, expanding foam and white gloss paint.

Will post some pics at the weekend if anyone's interested.

Stripped out scabby diy interior and binned that.




then polystyrene insulation and tinfoil stuck to every panel and the floor.



quick tip, if you've got insulation behind your panels, check it once a year or the condensation will rot your van from the inside.




I've got a willing helper at the moment, but can't get her to weld yet.



Not to exciting yet, got to replace both front arches and seatbelt location points to get MOT, and then I'll be able to drive to and from Nick's workshop.
This arch is the better of the two.




At least I've got the rear lights in and working.
Wife wants the van painted the colour coming through the primer on the engine cover.
