Code 11 is Sierra Yellow...just looked it up on the VW colour chart...right next to Chianti Red which is my colour on the '72 Devon Moonraker Deluxe I bought yesterday..pics to follow

Right then, back from holiday, van in mate's workshop and grinder out. :D

took that off, doesn't look too bad, does it?



5 hours and a couple of grinding and cutting discs later....

 
having a ramp lift definitely saves having to bend down to do any repairs (lazy bugger :p ), my back aches just from stripping paint :D :wink:

A mate with a workshop keeps the weather off and the neighbours happy. Also helps that the same mate is good at welding, and is likely to get even better with all the practice on my bus. :mrgreen:

Here we go, new metal replacing thin air, iron oxide and filler. :D

new seat base and selt belt mount





a nice coat of primer to keep the moisture out.



I can cut that sh*tty arch off now there's something to weld to.
From underneath with a bit of seam sealer
