This is Nick's bus now, pick taken at Dubs in th Castle 09...

Good work done here, its even got an engine lid I had to buy......plus paint, something to laugh about round the BBq!!

Thank you all for the kind words. I really keeps me going.

Had some more spare time last week and this is what I've done.

So now the bottom of the a-post of the donorfront are done.
Next on is trim the windowframe and remove the rest of the old chassislegs on the donorfront.
Then it's time to line everything up and get the welder started.

Ok guys, time for a little update.
Had some time around the workshop to work on the bus a little.
After a lot of measering I started some welding.
Must say I'm pretty pleased with how things line up.
Only thing that needs some more sorting out is the left hand doglegs. Maybe I'll have to buy some repro parts but I'm a little scared of the fit of these pannels.

Today, I had some more time in the workshop so I solved the dogleg problem.
I made one good one out of two.

After I grounded down the welds, things looked like this.

I also grounded down the welds on the a-post. Next on is weld in the closing panel.

So that's it for now.

Here comes another update.

The right side doglegs has been welded and the welds grinded down. After that I gave it a coat of zinkprimer.

I testfitted the frontbumper to see if everything lines up and the fit is pretty good. (It almost looking like a bus again.)

The window frame is repaired an cleaned up.

I also finished the righthand a-post. Just one little patch to weld in the inside and that's finished.

I think it's time for a little update:

The floor is welded in and the wheeltubs are repaired.

The works on the frontbeam have continued as well.

And last weekend I went out shopping and bought meself this nice kit:

Indeed, a nice 944T brakekit complete with new vented rotors and pads. Now I will have to buy some Porsche wheels as well, damn...

looks good but requires a 68-70 spindle, hopefully i will be fitting porsche hubs to the Red9 wishbone setup which uses late bay spindles (i think) sorry for the thread hijack.

Not a lot of progress, but I'v done some things to the bus recently.
The inside of the bus is painted.

Dash has been put back where it belongs and the pedals, shifter and emergency brake has bee repainted satin black.

I've also put the frontbeam back in and the bus is bak on it's wheels.

Next on is repaint the frontbumper and reapint the front end.
Hope I can drive it again real soon.
