Hey folks. Just a matter of interest. Who has a tow hitch on their buses ? Is it a case of welding on or bolt on the bumper mounts ? I don't really want iIt welded and will be for maybe a small trailer in the future. Just some extra stuff when i move. Cheers.

We have one - went for a CSP bolt-on tow bar. It’s quite pricey, but keeps the bumper in the standard location (unlike the Autocraft one) and supports enough weight to deal with our bike rack and bikes. The swan neck can also be unbolted and removed. We had a Gadget Westy copy one before, but they don’t work with anything that requires clamping to the tow bar - something to bear in mind if you’re ever going to hitch up a bike rack or storage box.

I’ve got an og Westy one. Replaces the bumper mounts so no welding.
I had a trailer that I used once but it just an accessory now.

Cheers for the replies folks. That's definitely something to think about @Moseley. Im glad they bolt on though. Another thing to add to my list 😬 ha.

If you look under your bus at the side of the rear chassis rails under the battery trays there's are 3 captive M10 nuts that are used to mount the towbar to the end of the chassis so it uses these and the original bumper mounts, we have one supplied by Jeffrey at bus.ok and it's very similar to the one Autocraft sell and bumper remains in original location

There is a need to consider the muffler system since the tow bar support brackets will require
clearance.
