Process technician turning black orrible goo into the finest petrol, diesel and lube oils you can buy!!!! Love it but I had (ahem) a wee bike accident a few years ago and now all I drive is a desk :( :(

Still it pays well and is better than not working.

Before that I was a non-destructive tester in the petrol chem industry and the aerospace. Loved working on the plane parts it was all so clean and I had so many big boys toys to play with like walk in media blasters, shot peening and even plasma spraying with of course lots of machinists at my disposal

Shame the money was pants

7.5T Delivery driver for a well known dept store(john lewis) :msn4: good hours early starts mean early finishes :D
enjoy the job meet some nice people and some famous people as well but i`m not a name dropper
waiting on the bonus to buy more bling for the bus
cheers shaun

I did half a technician apprenticeship when I left school, then dropped out and squatted in London for a few years. Since I got going again, I've done everything from tractor diving, maintaining lights on petrol station canopies, fitting windows and roller shutters. Had to take life seriously with kids, so career changed into engineering design. I ended up with own design consultancy designing installations on buildings, towers and pylons for mobile phone base station transmission equipment. Good money.

Burnt out - took a year off, scratched head and ended up mending and restoring T2's which I've been doing for 4-5 years now. Crap money but fun sometomes and I meet nice people now instead of hard-faced engineers. :)

I was a builder until my back and neck gave up. :? ( I still manage to crawl about under the bus though  )
Had to come out of the building trade and am now sitting behind a desk in the import/ export game.

It bores me brainless but I do manage to get a lot of 'bus' stuff done in the warehouse.
Once the bus is finished ( if they are ever finished ) I will be on the lookout for a change ;)

I'm a self employed carpenter, after completing my apprenticeship and getting laid off by the next 3 or four firms i worked for due to them having a lack of work i decided to go it alone, i love my job and its even better now i only have to deal direct with customers!

I'm on the lookout for a new job as the self-employed game just isn't working for me any more.

I pay my current bills through database and website development along with the odd photography job thrown in for good measure.

Reckon I will go back in to data work as I find it the most rewarding [read: profitable] and it's where I speciailised
