OMX 461K - Cross Over Restoration

I've owned my van for about 16 years now, but after the last two attempted camping trips ended up with us being brought back on the back of a back down wagon, in June 2016 I just stuck it in the garage and tried to pretend it didn't exist. By October of the same year I came to the conclusion...

Hi, The little vacuum operated valve on the standard air filter of my Crossover has packed up.It's the one that prevents carb icing by allowing hot air into the carb until the ambient/engine temperature rises. I can't seem to find anywhere that sells them - are they still available? Thanks

    Early Bay Tailgate For Sale

Early Bay tailgate. Bought in error as I thought it would fit my 1972 crossover. It doesn't!! So suitable for '68 - '71 vans only. May also fit a Splittie, I'm not sure. It's been sat in my loft for the last four years and hasn't deteriorated at all so I'm pretty sure it's rust free...

    Flushing a fuel tank

The van in question was sat in a garage between 1985 to 2009 and is now it's back on the road it's choking up a fuel filter every forty miles or so. It's a crossover with a type 4 engine, so I really don't want to...

    Devon Pop Top Problems

Hi, I've removed the pop top on my bay to try & fix all the leaks. Now it's off, I've discovered that the metal where the struts are screwed to is rusty, and also on one side the wood behind that metal/rust is rotten. Replacing the metal is not a problem (although my head lining will never look...

    Tinware question

I’m not sure if my van engine has bits missing from the tinware or not. I’m fairly sure that the upper part of the tinware is correct, the shroud round the top of the cylinder heads and the small piece in between the heads. However, there is nothing shrouding the lower halves of the...

    Carb Confusion!

My van is a standard 1600 twin port with a vacuum distributor and a solex PICT 34 carburettor. The problem with it is that the heat riser is not allowing any heat to rise and the carb has worn spindle bushes and the thread which the mounting studs screw into are very weak, so you can’t...

    Antti Roll Bar Snapped!

The front anti roll bar on my van snapped this afternoon. It's the second time that this has happened, the last time being about 10,000 miles ago. Is there any reason for them to snap? I've never heard of them going on other vehicles. The van, by the way, is bog standard and riding at normal...
