After taking the westy out for a good run at the weekend, I noticed a bad case of THE flat spot and pretty poor MPG. After a bit of research and it seems i have a 009 with no vacuum & the pipe on the carb has been blocked off. I would like to fit a SVDA dizzy like;

can anyone recommend where to get one from and which is the best one?

Thanks in advance. heres the pics of my 009 & carb

Personally, I'd go for a secondhand one in good condition. From what I have heard, some of the cheaper repro ones are poor quality. Alternatively, JK do a Bosch one which is meant to be OK for around £100.

Also, if I were you I would make sure the cardboard heating tubes get fitted to your engine fairly quickly. It will run a lot cooler with all the correct parts fitted.

Finally, I think it is safer to have the fuel filter located before the fuel pump. Preferably above your gearbox before the fuel line goes through the tinware, although it does mean lying down to check it.

Hi

I have a svda bosch dizzy which I bought from JK for £100 plus P&P. I've driven 30 miles with it but couldn't get the vacuum signal right with my twin carbs. It will work nice with your stock set up. It looks brand new and I even have the box still! It is complete ie cap, rotor, points.

I don't think JK will let me send it back so £85inc P&P sound good?

Let me know if interested ok buddy.
