Hiya folks.

Just rebuilding my 68 and wondering what you guys use for fuel tank felt? Can't seem to buy it new anywhere. Don't really know what to substitute it with. My thought is rubber will hold muck/grit and might fret the tank but then i suppose felt would too. :lol:

Any advice much appreciated.

Cheers.

Could not find felt either so used single sided sticky sponge 1" thick bought from Screwfix.

Hi,

I bought sound deadening felt from woollies : http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

However, for the couple of strips required I would suggest don't bother and go the screwfix solution!

If you are passing Newmarket then I'm happy to let you have what I have left over.... probably enough to do another half dozen fuel tanks!
