Been a while since I've done anything to the bus, and to be honest, it's just sat unloved on the drive where I parked it after Oktoberfest.
And as I'm not working this weekend, have a much-travelled Butty's throttle linkage sitting in the garage, and there's a ramp free at the yard it would be rude not to fit it.

Instant improvement, and I think I need to sort the gear selection out before I can run any 1/4 mile times, but it'll go off the clock quite easily now.
More stuff planned over the next couple of months, along with a bit of tlc. :D

That's a shame Rich.

Had a quick blast down to the Krispy Kreme meet this afternoon with all the chavs and their Hondas/Vauxhalls/etc.
Quite a few cool air-cooled motors there as well though, along with a chopped Series 1 Land Rover with a 3.9 V8 on a P4 chassis.
No pics though, unless I can snaffle a few from FB.

Spent an hour or so this evening lying under the bus turning the heating back on, emptying the headlights of about a pint of water, and then I did this.

Just a word of advice, don't leave the seatbox lid open and then shut the sliding door....

The reason for the little bit of fettling was that we took a little drive down to Weston-super-Mare tonight.
Give ozziedog a wave children.

Watched the fireworks, had fish & chips, came home and started on the cider.

So today was Santa Cruz day and it dawned cold and foggy.
Gave the bus a wot blast along the M48 to Aust Services and the heater ducting decided to clear itself of debris, blasting me with a load of VW shrapnel.
To be honest I'm not sure where it's all come from, especially the glass, as the ducting was cleared last year when the engine swap was done and the heat ex's are "new".

Still a load more in there if the rattling is anything to go by, I'll have to keep under 85 then. ;)

I love my bus.

F*cked off with so-called "specialists".
Been waiting for months for a pair of twin pcd hub plates to arrive so I can get on with the bus.
Just a small selection of parts accrued.

Although I am rather impatient.

More to follow over the next few weeks. ;)

All hooked up, no leaks. A few different angles for you Shaun.
It's a Mocal OTSP1X thermostatic sandwich plate, you'll also need a centre adaptor that fits your existing remote filter housing.

Just need to sort a stoneguard next.

Partially cured the fuel issues, the new fuel pump was pissing fuel into the sump so that got replaced with the old pump from the singleport.

Hi Sparkwig Happy New Year,
Wonder if you can help shed some light i am wanting to run a remote cooler like you have and I was going to fit one of those thermostatic sandwich plates but I have read that doing it that way oil can not run through filter until it has reached temperature allowing flow through the cooler and also filter?

Just wondering :?

And the nearside.

Split CV boots replaced, all bolted back together and ready to go....

Perhaps not.
I have an interference problem when applying the brakes, so it's left at the workshop.
Hopefully something simple and then the next stage can commence.
