What did you do on your van today ?

Spent most of the day stuck in front of a sewing machine making covers for the rock an roll bed

, slightly girlie i guess but no one else knows how to use it, and to top it all my wife has the cheek to ask me to take a pair of trousers up!. :evil: What a waste of a good day but at least i dont have to look at the foam any more

. I reckon i could get a job in a sweat shop now too.
Anyone else do any van jobs they've been putting off.

had a sorting out of alloy wheels day. 14 sets of porsche rims lying about was beginning to take this piss. ebay has a lot to answer for. the bus hasnt even made the road yet, im sure there's more productive stuff on the van i could be doing

Finnished off the van respray today, took her to work on Friday - masked up etc, Saturday the primer went on, Sunday rubbed down & got a few layers of Neptune Blue on

this morning I checked over a few minor runners & finnished off...Drove her 10 minutes home with no windows in, :lol: later this week i,ll be flatting off & buffing up then windows back in & happy days :mrgreen:
Shattered now but a good weekends work.

While i got the front beam off, i took the chance to get right under the front of the van and underseal any bits i couldnt get to before and used some spray black stuff to get in all of the nooks and cranies.

Then i sprayed waxoyl into the chassis and pannels. Nothing like coming out from under the van with globs of white waxy stuff all over you.

I washed mine yesterday morning, then opened all the windows and put the roof up to air it out after the weekend. I was going to put the cover on it when it was all dried out.

I got involved in something else and looked out to see it hammering down, so it got even wetter - inside too. Ho hum.
