Took it out to probably the best friday night local hot rod show here ever. Everyone liked the Bus too.

Used mine this morning to nip around town to do a couple quotes, hopefully be going to the upholsterers later to pick up my new rear seats, if he ever gets back to me :?

As the tailgate catch had moved while on the way to Big Bang today i put the cusions etc back after a week to dry the interia out.Cleaned the pop top sides ready for the off again :)

Today I mainly got my hands dirty!!
- Tried to fix my alternator fault with 'new easy swap' regulator from VWH, Fail it doesn't Fit
- Went to GSF to buy need alternator (3rd one on this bus so far)
- Fitted said alternator
- Fitted some nice LED lights
- Took it for a drive to find oil pissing out of RH rocker cover
- Sealed with instant gasket, took for another drive still pissing out
- Drove back to unit (in Modern VW) picked up 2 new gaskets, alternative bail arm and sealant
- Fitted alternative cover with bail arm and new gasket on the drive

- Had tea and watched MI Ghost Protocal with my lad

- See if the swapping covers has sorted it on the way to the Stanford Hall refugees meet tomorrow otherwise it will be an aborted trip

Connected my flat screen television situated in the rear of the bus, to the DVD headunit in the front.
Hid all the wires making it a neat job. Now all i need is a decent Leisure battery to power it all.
Took her out to my mates unit in Willenhall to drop a wheel off which is going to be refurbed.
Fuelled her up ready for the cruise to Wickstead Park tomorrow morning. 8)
Put the duff leisure battery i possess on charge so at least i have a little audio power on the journey in the morning.
Tomorrow I intend to purchase a new leisure battery from 'Kwik fit' which is just a mile up the road from Wickstead park :D

Cabled up for oil pressure and temp gauges. Installed senders, turned engine over found oil pissing out all joints on the manifold and petrol dribbling from spindles on carb!! :( :( Scratched head, ordered new spindle bushes off the man on flea bay, looked at demon tweaks for a 4 way oil sender manifold. Cleaned up all the mess and put her back in the garage! :(

The sliding door decided to spit a few bits out last night so spent today stripping door down, cleaning the California crap out of it & ordering new bits to put it back together....

Stripped down, cleaned and fitted the stock carb I picked up from Sparkywig.
Fitted the glovebox card also courtesy of Sparkwig! Thanks
Fitted new headlining from MorcambeandWise, good fit overall but does need trimming to make good in places!
Happy with my acheivements!

Yesterday rubbed the filler and stopper on the engine lid and valance, put in primmer then later in day 2 full coats high build primer with a further coat that will get rubbed off!!
Today rubbed it all down with wet and dry, cleaned them all down and let dry. Then after lunch 2 coats of Perlweiss!! :p

Gave the wheels a quick coat of paint and polished the hubcaps as I've been asked to take a friends daughter and her 2 friends to their prom on Thursday , I hope they wont be disappointed at least the hubcaps are shiney

Gave the Bus a quick wash down with the hose and then took it for a MOT. Having passed that i dryed it off and put it away for 3 weeks while i go back to work.
Hope the weathers better when i get back from work, lots of camping booked.
