Yeah it’s been missing those dash screws since the day I got it, and I’ve just not gotten around to finding them. I definitely agree with you about the AAC products they are awesome. The wheel is the first bit of their gear that I’ve bought, but I think I’ll be getting more. I’ve already got the Butty’s bits throttle kit which is almost the complete kit.Steering wheel looks fab, really finishes off an already cool looking dash, especially with the pod rings and that retro stereo
Love AAC stuff, just fitted their AAC-195 52mm tacho, pricey but a thing of pure beauty.
You just need to find those missing screws from your dash pod
Get the full linkage kit (replacement chassis through rod) if you haven’t already. Fitted it recently, pedal travel is superb now
It was at Swansea near the Central coast Sydney.Campsite looks great and the bus looks great, whereabouts was this ?
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,, I miss Oz mostly when it’s raining here
Just down the road, campbelltown here.Great restro.... Looking forward to your updates
I use to live in Mortdale
So now the motor is out again to get rebuilt, the stock 1600 single port just isn’t enough anymore, so now it’s about to be rebuilt into a 1916cc it was going to be a 1641 but that will be my spare engine instead.
Just working with what I’ve got, this way I didn’t have to buy a new crankcase, just pistons and barrels as well as new heads with big valves (40mm and 35mm)1916 cm³ is only 5 cm³ more than my VW 412LE based, 1911 cm³ VW Type 4 style engine (66 mm stroke x 96 mm bore) with twin-port cylinder heads (gas-flowed, 41 mm inlet & 34 mm exhaust valves) with much wider cylinder-barrel spacing than that a VW Type 1 style engine for improved air cooling, with higher air-flow capacity fan, driven directly by the crankshaft; with the added advantage of a factory-standard full-flow oil-filter and an aluminium-alloy crankcase.
