Quick catch up.
Had to take the walkthrough trim panels and aluminium channel back off as the walkthrough pedestal rubber mats have turned up.
Yet again repro rubbish that is almost right but so frustratingly wrong.
Today was a struggle getting them to fit, lots of trimming and one side seems to be slightly bigger than the other.
Not too happy with the fit, you can see where the right hand one is stretched in the right hand footwell, but I'm not taking them off again.

Yet another day of frustration, sliding door this time.
No matter how I tried I couldn't get all of the clips lined up with the holes in the door, so I took it off.

The holes in the trim panel are way out, no wonder it's so frustrating.
After a little modification to the ply it seems to be better and all the clips line up.
But the ply has been cut in the wrong direction out of the sheet as the grain is against the curve required to fit the panel to the door, and the clips won't hold or break.

I need to get at least one job finished, or it's been a waste of a day, so the struggle continued with the cab kick panel.
It fits.
Well, sort of.

Yes, that is an umbrella made from Beetle bonnets. One of a number of them throughout the yard.

That's the Rocky Mountains in the distance.

I've added the Google Maps image for comparison.
You can still see the lines of school buses, but a large percentage of the yard had been removed by the time of this image. The housing estate on the left of the image are also new.
