Baja Bus Porn

I cant compete with extreme slammed bus around at the mo....................So thought about going up in the air to be different

sort of like this, suttle, but not extreme to cutting the rear arches etc. However that will be the limiting factor on tyre choice I think.

I like the idea as its different and does give some plus points on front end crash protection and might help the gearing issue, ie no skin lower proflie rims,, bad points are it's probably back to wandering across 2 lanes of the motorway etc :lol:

the other things is i'm sort of old school where anything looks cool lowered, so not too sure, what do you reckon?

Looks golden to me !! It has a proper Aussie look about it (I know it`s in Yankee land) very purposefull and business like, and apart from Motorways, I can`t see an issue, it`ll steer , brake, and handle rough ish terrain, It`s a winner :lol:

Dude , that is one of my favorite buses ever , I actually have more pictures of that bus on photobucket somewhere.
Around here all things Baja are very cool , the term Baja comes from Baja California, Mexico an area just south of San Diego known for it's rough terrain and all kinds of Off Road sports activities.
Of course I was born in Baja myself (Tijuana) so I was brought up with all kinds of lifted vehicles , heck even my mom drove a lifted Toyota 4X4 at one point in the '90s :shock:
Over here that bus would just blend in but on that side of the pond mate you will be the Arnold Schwarzenegger of the low light scene.

Well its certainly different and will get more looks than yet another slammed bus - (if thats what you are looking for).

Having once driven a raised T2 some years ago, as I remember it, the motorway issue mentioned was not that bad. I think it was because, although the tyres were taller, they were also stiffer. I did notice more noise as a result of the chunky tread pattern - like on a 4x4 with similar tread.

Ultimately my advice is: its your bus, surely you should do what pleases you rather than what you think might please others? Why would you need their approval :lol:
