i'm confused by the sliding door on the Samba though??????

or is this a crossover that VW were thinking of but wanted to trial before they went for it with the Bay? :D

I believe it was an option from '63 onwards, just one that wasn't taken up terribly often.
 
Samba is a good price, I am very tempted .. I'll have a word with wifey tonight.

Rear wheels are at a strange angle, sure it is on purpose but I 've never seen this look before? (probably another option in the 60's .. they were crazy times)
