I'm enjoying working from the van. Being able to carry the ladders inside the van is far easier than bunji strapping them to roof bars as I have been doing for some years now. I emptied it all out to transport some sofas for a friend and some cement board for our multifuel stove chimney plate. All sorted now. I'm glad I scrapped the Daewoo in favour of FROD.

Stripped it down to prep the frame, then lots of filling, flirting and then painting L90D to match the van.

Are you going to do a restro thread? I saw another restro on one of these where they cut bay lights into the back and it came out great.. On the look out out for one like it myself now

Not today but this is some of us at the close of play at Oktober Fest last weekend,, so from left to right we have

Rough Roy,, Nicks Panel,, then Sherbie, that`s my bus,, then Old Reliable ,, Georges Panel (G Vee)

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,What a brilliant weekend to finish the season on :p :p :p

Great to see you and the gang last weekend Oz! Boy did we have an eventful journey home (as you can imagine)

Will have to start my own thread real soon. Been quite busy on the new 'un already.

Seeing as this is the "what did you do with your early bay" thread:

Yesterday I pulled the carbs off and began cleaning them. One down, one to go, but I'm waiting on the rebuild kits to arrive before I pull the second apart. You know, just in case :msn4:
Freed up the wheels on the old van (it's been sat a little long but it was dead easy to get them all moving again). Before giving it a shove down the drive I cleaned the front panel (to stop my helpers hands getting too mucky). Whilst the helpers chatted away with the neighbours I continued wiping the grime of the old girl and got about half way done. Will take some pics tomorrow to show you what it was like

replaced the sidelight bulb, adjusted the gearstick and clutch and handbrake ready for it's 2nd attempt at passing an mot. Also oiled the driver and passenger door locks and took it for a short test drive.

Rippers,
I am doing the same, set of EB lights and pastel white to match the van. At the moment I am just getting it up and running. Not bad for £25.

May make a new frame with new suspension units on as the camber on the leaf spring is mental!

Anyhow,
This is the new zorst and tow bar on:

Sweet-As Jon!!

The new pot fits like a glove and looks awesome!
Nice work. What was the dremel for?

Look at that it's been raining in England all day and still is, but Scotland is nice and sunny as ever I know it!

All the Best.

Andy

on sat towed the race car to shakey for the Cal Look drag day ,it waas spliffys birthday and the sun shone :p

Started an oil change on a seriously low panel. Had to jack the bugger up to get things done!

Washed my twin-slider... long-overdue :msn4:

this & more :D

Took my dynamo off in order to convert to an alternator. What a bugger the large but holding the fan on was to remove!! Had to resort to oxy/accett and got the nut glowing before it would budge!!

Woohoo ... I found a tire shop who can balance wide 5 rims today!

Soooo ... after all the hard work of lowering the front and rear lately, today I could actually check out the new stance of my lowered panel.

Pics to follow soon after a little adjusting ;)

Got the registration paperwork sent off today, hope dvla doesn't take too long!

After a little adjusting late last night, my son and I have the stance we wanted ... for the moment. We might drop the front a little bit more depending on ride quality.

Stock 14 inch steelies with General Tire Altimax RT 205/70R14 on rears and 195/65R14 on fronts. Rear down one outer, front down 3 inches with CPI adjusters. Shorter than stock gas shocks on all corners.
